7/3/2007 · I am troubleshooting a GE ECM motor in a goodman air handler.. The motor only rocks the fan a few seconds and never takes off.. I jumpered the required pins on the motor module to get it to run w/o the inputs…..same thing..fan is tight on the shaft swaped out the module got the same thing. Motor doesnt coast much when spun by hand.. did I get a bad module or is this the 1st motor .

Wait 5 minutes after disconnecting power before opening motor . – Blower wheel not tight on motor shaft. – Make sure blower wheel is tight on shaft. – Handle electronic motor /control with care. – Bad motor /control module. – Perform motor /control replacement check.
